Another favourite from Jamie’s 30 minute meals. ‘Mashy peas’ is recommended to go with the crusted cod recipe however is a great accompaniment for many meat / fish dishes.
4 medium baking potatoes
1 head of broccoli
500g frozen peas
Large knob of butter
1-2 desert spoons of mint sauce (optional)
1. Peel the potatoes, chop into small chunks and bring to the boil in salted water and allow the potatoes to boil.
2. After 5 to 10 minutes, add the peas and broccoli to the potatoes
3. Once thoroughly cooked, drain the veg and let is steam for a couple of minutes
4. Tip the veg back into the pan, add the butter in mint sauce (if using) then roughly mash.
Foodie Tip: We make sure that our mash stays fairly chunky but you can mash to whichever consistency you choose.
