A bit chain-y I know but nonetheless somewhere I often end up with work colleagues so thought it high time I did a proper review.

A large and airy bar with a mezzanine level, some of the character of the building still remains from when the building was once Bristol’s fish market many years ago. It exudes a relaxed vibe with table service for both drinks and food, large circular booths for groups to crowd around and a reasonably sized beer garden, ideal for smokers and hot sunny days.

The main food on the menu is pizza and you know what? They’re not half bad! Generous and innovative toppings, a thin and crispy base and lots of cheese. Flavours vary from the more conventional margherita and pepperoni to the vodka revolution pizza – chilli vodka glazed chicken, chorizo, goats’ cheese and mozzarella with sweet chilli peppers, fresh rocket and a balsamic glaze (just reading it makes my mouth water, the real thing is very nice)

Also on the menu are burgers – fairly standard, good quality meat with lots of toppings, I’m yet to have a bad burger there and if nothing else they are satisfying and very filling. Sandwiches can be hit and miss, sometimes very good, sometimes less so.

My own personal favourite is the sweet chilli prawn & chorizo flatbread. King prawns and chorizo tossed in a sweet chilli sauce piled high on a bed of salad with a balsamic glaze. I’ve ordered this time and time again and it hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Admittedly when busy there can be a wait on food – however staff are always friendly and very accommodating. ‘Revs’ is a little on the soulless side, but then, most chains are. This said it serves up pretty good grub and is a great location for lunch or an after work bite with colleagues.
