We don’t feature many events on Bristol Foodie – we just don’t have the time to keep on top of them all! But this one seemed like such a great idea that we wanted to share it with you.
No, it is not the foodie arm of the boutique summer festival, but a food festival from the wonderful people at Milestones Trust. Milestones Trust is a charity that supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia in the South West and it is leading the way in improving nutrition and food quality in care homes.
The festival, which takes place at Paintworks on Saturday 20th April, will celebrate this and help to raise awareness of this important issue. You can expect to pick up some tasty treats from the likes of Vee Double Moo (great ice cream) and Bath Pig Chorizo, as well as learning the art of BBQ from Ben Bartlett, cookery food stories from the founder of The Square Food Foundation and tips on growing and buying organic food from the Soil Association.
All this, plus an enchanted forest, craft marque, secret garden, talking plants (!), bandstand, graffiti tunnel and more! Even better – it’s completely FREE!
